LOOK OUT ROCK HIKING TOUR IS INCLUDED WITH YOUR CABIN RENTAL .This is a 1.5 hour guided tour from your cabin along a beautiful ancient trail through the pinyon and juniper trees where Anasazi Indians walked!  Walk along a canyon wall and see two unique, pristine Anasazi dwellings on private land.

ATV SELF-GUIDED TRAIL (FOR GUESTS WHO BRING THEIR OWN ATV):  This is just one of many self-guided trails that start from your cabin. You will  see many large Indian dwellings as you follow a creek bed down a canyon. During certain times of the year you may see wildlife such as; turkeys and deer. This trail takes you several miles down a canyon that you can connect to Recapture Reservoir.  THIS TOUR IS WITH YOUR ATV ONLY.  You can also connect to a lot of other ATV trails from this trail that you can ride on all day.

ATV RENTALS/TOUR OR 4-WHEEL DRIVE TOUR - FOR GUESTS WHO NEED AN ATV PROVIDED FOR THEM:  We will set up an ATV tour or 4-wheel drive tour for you through Black Hawk  Tours of Blanding. You can choose from one of their tours or "go it alone". They offer two hour, four hour, all day tours, or several day tours to Utah's canyons and Anasazi ruins. Visit www.blanding.net/index.htm  

HAbajo Haven Horse Tours - Click to enlarge.ORSE TOUR- for those that are bringing their  horses. This guided tour is provided with your cabin rental. This is with privately owned horses only.  This is a 1.5 hour guided tour along a beautiful ancient trail through the pinyon and juniper trees where Anasazi Indians walked!  Ride along a canyon wall and view an Indian dwelling on private land.  You can also ride many other trails right from your cabin. This tour with many other tours are available with the horsemanship clinic/vacation package.
                     

MONTEZUMA CANYON TOUR:  $50.00/person, $25.00/person for each additional person. Vehicle tour. All day tour, lunch provided. Be prepared to see at least 25 different Ancestral Puebloan Indian sites while you tour this canyon, which includes large panels of rock art and dwellings. This canyon was a main route for the Indians and you will see rock art from the Ancestral Puebloan (dating back before 1300) and Ute Indians (1700 & 1800's). Have lunch by an old corral under the cottonwood shade trees.

Turkey of the BluesWILDLIFE TOUR: Hike a short distance from your cabin to see turkeys fly over your head to roost in a ponderosa pine. This is a wild experience that you will not want to miss. You will also see deer come out to graze in the evening during certain times of the year. $10.00/person. 

 Indian Rock ArtJOHNSON CREEK HIKING TOUR:  Take this fun 3 hour hiking tour from your cabin.  You will see remote Indian sites and rock art on this hike.  This is more of a rugged hike that will take you through private land to get to these remote Indian sites and rock art.  You will see one dwelling the Anasazi built high on a cliff facing and several surface sites. The rock art was left behind for possible communications to other tribes or possibly for ceremonial reasons.  $30.00/person, $10.00/person for each additional person. 

LOCAL ACTIVITIES:  May 3rd & 4th, 2008.  FOUR CORNERS INDIAN ART FESTIVAL.  Over 50 Native artists representing at least 15 tribal Nations and Puebloan communities will gather at the Edge of The Cedars State Park Museum to display and sell artwork.  The festival will also represent several Native American dance groups. Traditional art demonstrations include piki bread making, basketry, beadwork, weaving, and pottery-making.  Don't miss this! FISHING:  Only 7 miles from the ranch.  Either fish trout in the city reservoirs or fish bass or pike in the Recapture Reservoirs.

Abajo loop driveFOR THE SCENIC DRIVER: THE ABAJO LOOP:  Continue your trip over the Abajo Mountain, through the Manti La-Sal National Forest and onto Monticello. Enjoy the beautiful scenery, maybe pack a picnic to enjoy in the campground or enjoy lunch in the town of Monticello. This is a good graveled road. MANY ACTIVITIES TO DO ON YOUR OWN:  Bring your own horse, bike, fishing pole or ATV and vacation with us! There are endless trails on the Manti La-Sal National Forest that begin just one mile from the ranch. This majestic mountain is landscaped with junipers, oak, pinyon pines, aspens, cottonwoods, and beautiful mountain wildflowers. Enjoy fishing at Recapture Reservoir (named because the Aztec Princess was recaptured by the Spaniards). The reservoir is stocked with northern pike, catfish, and bass. Blanding city reservoir is another great fishing area that holds trout. Both reservoirs are just a short drive from the ranch.
