About us: Abajo Haven Guest Ranch is so unique because of the Havens rich history in the horse industry.  Bill Haven has been training, showing, marketing, and raising horses in the Arabian industry most of his life.  He literally has helped hundreds of people with their horse needs- whether it has been teaching someone to ride or marketing a National winning show horse.  He first earned his spurs by learning from the renowned Sheila Varian (Arabian top breeder) in California and from training under Jerry Smola (who trained and showed the famous *Bask to his National Championships) in Texas.  Since 1982, Bill along with his wife Leslie have been winning championships,  teaching horsemanship classes, giving youth camps, and training    hundreds (if not thousands!) of horses of every level.  In 2006, they sold their ranch in Loma, Colorado (Desert Hills Training Center) and bought their dream home and named it  the Abajo Haven Guest Ranch. Bill and Leslie love the outdoors and want to bring some of the outdoor experience to you.  The Havens could not find a better area that supports so many recreational opportunities.  This area caters to the biker, hiker, trail rider, ATV rider, and site seer.  Come enjoy this experience with us!
