JUNE TO OCTOBER IS OUR HIGH SEASON, BUT YOU MAY NOT WANT TO MISS OUT ON SEEING THIS BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY DURING THE WINTER.  INFACT, WINTER IS OUR FAVORITE TIME OF YEAR TO EXPLORE THE CANYONS!

SPRINGTIME AT ABAJO HAVEN GUEST RANCH:

Average temperature: May:  low 37, high 66

Perfect weather to sit around a campfire at night roasting marshmallows!  Watch as the mountains are coming back to life!  Abundant wildflowers are springing up everywhere! 

The month of May can still be chilly weather at the Abajo Haven Guest Ranch, but the month of June is absolutely perfect.  As some desert areas are already starting to reach 100 degree temperatures, the temperature here is just right. This is a great time of year to see BABY FAWNS and BABY TURKEYS as they are starting to be seen at the Abajo Haven Guest Ranch!  _____________________________________________________________________________

SUMMER:  (JULY, AUGUST)

                  Average temperature:  July:  low 52, high 83     
                                                        August:  low 47, high 80
 

A lot of wildlife is still being seen around the ranch.  The baby turkeys and baby fawns are still coming out and you may see a few fawns still in its spots.  July is the hottest month of the year, but the high here maybe will reach 90! That is still weather that cant be beat! This is the time of year to sit under the hammock under a shade tree, but in the mountains a campfire still feels good in the evening!__________________________________________________________________________________________

FALL: (LATE SEPTEMBER, OCTOBER)

                                          October:  low 32, high 59
 

Do you like to take beautiful scenery photos? Then this is the time of year for you to come to the guest ranch. This is a great time of the year to see some beautiful colors forming on the aspens, maples, and oaks on the Abajo Mountain! __________________________________________________________________________________________

WINTER WONDERLAND!

If you love to cross country ski or snowshoe, then this is the time of year for you!  The cabins are supplied with portable heaters. Winter offers great opportunities to view the elk starting to come off the mountain to the ranch.

This is also a good time of year to explore areas south of us such as; grand gulch (large Anasazi population was in grand gulch area) or Monument Valley.
